Note NI2Hollis Wayne England was born Sep. 23, 1934 in New Tazewell, Claiborne, TN. to Charles Sylvester England and Bertie Inis Mayes. He went to school and was raised in the same area. After ashort stent in the air force (medical discharge) he went to Monroe, MI. and worked a short while there. His marriiage and children are listed in this Personal Ancestral File. He returned to Tenn., got a job in Knoxville at Stokes Electric Co. ( a wholesale electrical supply co.). He worked his way up to outside salesman and stayed with Stokes about fourteen years. He then joined the family furniture manufacturing business in 1965, after having sold furniture in his spare time at nights and on Saturdays. He traveled the state of Kentucy and managed sales people in other sreas until 1973 when he gave up the territory and went to full time sales management. This included merchandising, working with key accounts, hiring and working with sales people. England Upholstery Manufacturing was the original name later changes to England/Corsair and is now just England. EnglandCorsair sold out to the La-Z-Boy Company in Abt. 1996.

He stayed on through Dec. 1999 when he retired. He had bought a farm in Grainger Co. TN. and lives there raising alpacas.
