Biography

Rose was born in 1887. She was the daughter of Legoria Engle and Jane Collopy. Rose worked for the US Internal Revenue Service for 35 years. She became the first female secretary in the War Department in Columbus during WWI. She was recognized "For long and meritorious service with the Treasury Department" with receipt of the Gallatin Award on March 26, 1957. She passed away in 1971.
