William Edward Engle was born on May 6, 1856 in Roundhead, Hardin, Ohio to John Engle and Sarah Darst
He married Rina McCracken first on April 24, 1880 in Howell County, Missouri[1], then again on November 25, 1882 in Howell County, Missouri[2]. They had six children:
William was charged with bigamy when he married Rina while she had already been married to K C Foster[3].
William died on September 24, 1941 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska at the age of eighty-five. He is buried at Tekamah Cemetery[4].
