Martha English was born in 1838 in Texas, United States, daughter of James English (1788–1857) and Susannah Butcher (1792–1844).[1]
Martha had a brother, William Campbell English (1819–1897).
In 1850, Martha (11) was in the household of her brother, William, in Fannin, Texas. [2]
Martha (39) married Shadrack Monroe Casteel (39) (born on August 26, 1838 in Missouri, United States; son of Micah Casteel and Martha (Abernathy) Casteel) on March 25, 1878 in Hunt, Texas.[3]
In 1880, Martha (41) M. Castell was in the household of Shadrack Castell in Justice Precinct 6, Hunt, Texas. [4]
In 1900, Martha (61) M and Shadrach M Caster were living in Greer, Oklahoma Territory, [5]
In 1910, Martha was living in the household of a nephew John P English in Crosby, Texas.[6]
Martha died after 1910 in Texas, aged 71.
