Biography

John was born in 1778.

John was christened at Weston under Penyard on 5 Jun 1778. His father was John Ennis, mother Ann [1].

A John Ennis married Hannah Parks 4 Feb 1808 at English Bicknor (11 miles away from Weston)[2]. Hannah Parks mistranscribed as "Hannah Packs". They were both reported as being from "the parish" which does raise a slight doubt that it is the correct John and Hannah, as the standard LDS genealogy states.

At christening of son John, 6 Jan 1822, surname listed as Innis[3].

John passed away in 1833,[citation needed]

Ennis-1060 and Enniss-59 appear to represent the same person because: They were both christened June 1778 in Weston under Penyard. Both married Hannah Parks in English Bicknor, Feb 1808. John Ennis' son Benjamin (chr 8 Mar 1818) is also the same as Benjamin the son of Hannah (Parks) Enniss
