The Huntsville Times 30 Mar 1923, Fri ยท Page 1 Mrs. Annie Hopper Dies of Apoplexy Mrs. Annie Hopper died early last night at her home on Pratt Avenue after a very short illness--an apoplectic attack. The deceased was in her 62nd year and was a consistent Christian character. She was a former resident of Tennessee, having moved to this county a number of years ago. She is survived by two sons and one daughter. Funeral services were held from the late residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev, I. C. Carlton, pastor of East Holmes Methodist Church. Interment was made in the Maple Hill Cemetery.

Annie D. Ennis Hopper was born on August 24, 1861, in Limestone, Alabama, her father, John, was 38, and her mother, Parthenia, was 34. She married James Harding Hopper on December 24, 1884, in Lincoln, Tennessee, when she was 23 years old.. They had four children during their marriage. She died on March 29, 1923, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 61, and was buried there.

Her daughter Hattie was born in 1884. Her son Ewing Nathaniel was born on October 14, 1885, in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Her daughter Jennie Eunice was born on October 8, 1887, in Tennessee. Her son Theodore Harris "Theo" was born on September 27, 1890, in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Her father John C. passed away on May 18, 1890, in Abilene, Texas, at the age of 67. Her sister Mary Frances "Fannie" died on August 1, 1905, in Huntsville, Alabama, when Annie D. was 43 years old. Her husband James Harding passed away on November 3, 1914, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, at the age of 61. They had been married 29 years. Her brother Robert Alexander died on April 11, 1922, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, when Annie D. was 60 years old. Annie D. Ennis Hopper died on March 29, 1923, in Huntsville, Alabama, when she was 61 years old and was buried in Maple Hill.
