Martha Ann Jackson Ennis & her sister-in-law Margaret Allen Ennis thought it was great sport to refuse to be courted by some of the pesty widowers in the community.

Also George Washington & Martha Ann Ennis family went traveling from 1901-1904. They travel all over Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma in a covered wagon. They did carpenter and farm labor work.

In 1872-73 era large numbers of people in the area died of yellow fever. Whole families of people died in Butler Co., MO

The biggest story the Family told was about Cornelius coming to the Ferry at Supple, AR in the 1870's and announcing to George Washington Ennis "I think I mighten be your Grandfather!"
