He was the son of Jacob Marion Ennis and Julie Ann Owens. He married Nancy Louner Johnson on Oct. 21, 1894 in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. They raised Ada Almeda Ennis and Georgia Mae Ennis, children of John and Cora Ennis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. at the Mills-Humphrey Chapel for Nancy Ennis, age 92, who died Monday in a local nursing home. Mrs. Ennis was born on Aug. 8, 1877 in Birmingham, Ala. She came to this area and settled in Indianola in 1907. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Ennis, in 1930. Mrs. Graham (s/b Ennis) was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving relatives include two foster daughters Mrs. George Smith, 220 West Kiowa, and Mrs. Ada Shackelford of Indianola; two nieces, Ida Franscom, Mesa, Ariz., and Alice Slesigner, Mesa, Ariz.; three nephews, Ernest Wright, Atkins, Ark., Earl Wright, Ft. Smith, Ark., and Ira Wright, Visalia, Calif.; 14 foster grandchildren, 33 foster great grandchildren and 18 foster great great grandchildren. Rev. Earl Jenson, assisted by Rev. Charles Bigger, will officiate at the services. Interment will be at Choate Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Mills-Humphrey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Arterburn, Burl Phifer, Clarence Wilkins, Alva Hardin, Walter L. Smith and Earnest Cowden. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Raney, Robert White, Harold Lindley and Jasper Walken.





William was born in 1871. He was the son of Jacob Ennis and Julia Owens. He passed away in 1930.
