William Tennant Ennis Birth: Aug. 20, 1826 Death: Jan. 30, 1862
William Tennant was the 2nd son of George Ennis and Matilda Allcock. His paternal grandparents were John Ennis and Mary Ann Whitlock. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Reynolds Allcock and Martha Ann "Stilley" Campbell. His older brother was Joseph Reynolds Ennis also interred here. In 1851 he married Nancy Mandane Gatewood. They were the parents of six children. He died in 1862 during the Civil War. He is interred in Campbell-Shield Cemetery in Warren Co., Ky with his mother, his brother J. R. Ennis, his half-brother G. W. Phelps and his daughter Mary Thomas Ennis. His wife Nancy Mandane is interred in Fairview Cemetery with the rest of their children. His tombstone is the source of his birthdate. W T and Nancy Mandane were married 1 Aug 1850 in Sumner Co., Tennessee.He was 23 and she was 18. They were the parents of six children; 2 died in infancy and 4 lived to adulthood. They are my great grandparents. William Tennant was buried at Campbell-Shields Cemetery. Nancy Mandane was buried at Fairview Cemetery. She died 40 years after her husband; She never remarried.

Mary Thomas Ennis Birth 14 June 1854 in Warren Co, KY Death 18 July 1855 in Warren Co., Kentucky died in infancy -Mary Thomas is buried at the Campbell-Shields Cemetery
