ALBERTON COUPLE BURIED WITH DUAL FUNERAL SERVICES
Mr. & Mrs. Noah A. Ennis, who both died of Pneumonia were buried Sunday. Dual funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Alberton Evangelical Church for Noah Alexander Ennis 74 and his wife, Mrs. Mahley Ennis, 70, both of whom succumbed to pneumonia at their home last week. The husband died on Wednesday and his wife followed him in death on Friday. The services were conducted by the Rev. J.H. Rosenberger, pastor of the church.
Mr. Ennis, who was born in Virginia, was a son of the late Thomas and Lucy Randall Ennis. Mrs. Ennis also born in Virginia, was a daughter of the late Alexandrer and Arbella Thorpe Riley.
The couple who moved to Alberton from Manassas, Va., 8 years ago is survived by four sons, Samuel Ennis of Gaithersburg, Md.; Issac and Shirley Ennis of Alberton, and Nathan Ennis, of Manassas, Va., and by two daughters, Mrs. Nettie A. Poole, of Alberton and Mrs. Laura Posey, of Konova, Va.
The pallbearers were J.D. Oates, Earl Oates, Edward Lightman, Carroll Doffner, Meron Quinby, Strother Lightman, Guy Lightman, Charles Bell, Louis McDonald, James Farley, Dewey Gamber and William R. Hall. Interment was in Good Shepperd Cemetary.
Sometime between 1920 and 1930 Noah, his wife, and children (Nettie & Shirley) moved to Maryland.
