Biography

Andrew E. Ennis was born in 1836 in Mississippi, probably in Simpson County. His parents were Thomas Ennis(native of Ireland)and Susan. He married Margaret Permelia Johnson about 1854 and farmed in Simpson County Mississippi. He had 2 known children, Martha Jane Ennis 1855-1934 and Frances Ennis, born 1859. He served as a Private in Company F, 39th Mississippi Infantry Regiment(Confederate)during the American Civil War, and died somewhere in Mississippi in 1862 while in the Confederate Army. His burial place is unknown.
