A DEATH Arkansas Gazette Correspondence

Beebe, December 9 - Dr. John S. Ennis, a well-known and prominent citizen of this town, died of pneumonia, and was buried today in the Beebe Cemetery.

Dr. Ennis was born at Bowling Green, Kentucky, and was comparatively a young man, being forty-eight years of age.

His wife died last February, and since then he has given way to intemperance and being neglectful of himself and business, and which latter he sold some time ago. He belonged to the order of Free Masons and was buried with Masonic honors. Whatever failings may be attributed to him, he was both progressive and charitable and anything that was required or asked of him - whether for the cause of the town, its institutions or churches - he was always ever ready to subscribe or assist.
