Biography

David was born in 1859.

He immigrated to Canada in 1876. [1]

He lived with his father in 1881. [2]

He lived in Rat Portage, Ontario (now Kenora), in 1891, working for the railroad. This is where his name first appears as Ans instead of Ens. [3]

He lived in Unorganized Territory in the Selkirk census district (later Whitemouth) in Manitoba in 1901. [4]

He received a land grant for Whitemouth, MB, on 3 Jan 1909. [5]

He continued to live in Whitemouth in 1906 [6], 1911 [7], 1916 [8] and 1921[9].

He passed away in 1932. [10] [11]
