Biography

Veit Enslin was born at Schorndorf in 1593, son of Veit Enslin and Catherina Hirschmann, married Maria Magdalena and lived for several years at Münsingen and then settled at Urach where he was a Modist (hatmaker) and school teacher. They were parents of eight children, all born and raised during the terrible decades of the Thirty Years War (1618-1848)." Dec. 21/ Wurd zu grab getragen, Veit Enslin…seines Altes 77 Jahre." He was buried at Urach, December 21, 1669.
