Biography
Eric was born in Lindesberg parish 7 August 1797. He was the eldest son of bergsman Eric Ersson (the younger) in Aspa #5 and his wife Maria Olofsdotter.[1] [2] His father died in 1819.
2 October 1820 bergsman Erik Ersson married bergsman's daughter Maria Larsdotter from Gusselhyttan. [3] They lived inAspa #1. Their firstborn son, Erik, died in childhood, but they had at least four more children. [4] [5] [6]
Bergsman, former Bergs-sexman (trustee and secretary for the cooperative of bergsmen) Erik Ersson died 15 January 1871. [7]
The book "Bergsmän och Borgare" [8] states, "The most powerful and inconsiderate of all the mining men of that time was Eric Ersson of Aspa, born 1797, died 1871."
His gravestone reads:

Swedish Hymn Book #469, verse 5.
