Biography

When Ann Elizabeth Erickson was born on May 28, 1946, in Sandusky, Ohio, her father, Thurston Erickson, was 52, and her mother, Mary Sherrill, was 34. She married Michael "Mike" Ambrosia on October 14, 1972, in Mahoning County, Ohio. They had at least two children during their marriage. She died on February 3, 1996, in New Bedford, Pennsylvania, at the age of 49, and was buried there.

NEW BEDFORD, Pa. - Anne Erickson Ambrosia, 49, of New Bedford, died Saturday at her home.

She was born May 28, 1946, in Sandusky, Ohio, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School where she was a member of the Swan Club and a number of social and academic associations.

She attended Southern Seminary in Virginia and spent two years in Europe and attended Malaga Academy in Spain. After returning to the United States, she lived in Poland, Ohio, until her marriage to Michael David Ambrosia Sr., on Oct. 14, 1972. She spent 23 years as the associate operator of M.D. Ambrosia Implement of New Bedford, Pa.

Besides her husband, she is survived by sons, Michael Jr. and Todd; a sister, Dianne Erickson Doyle of Norwalk, Ohio; a brother, Jack Erickson of College Park, Md.; a stepsister, Lynne Overmyer Fulop of Sandusky; a brother-in-law, Richard Ronan of Youngstown; and eight nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Erickson Overymer; father, Thurston F. Erickson; stepfather, Verill E. Overmyer; and sister Sherill Erickson Ronan of Youngstown.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, U.S. 422 West, New Bedford, Pa.
