My WikiTree is rather short, as I have not filed everyone I have on paper. I have chosen not to give you a link to it but it is here on WikiTree so I guess if you search for my grandfathers, Alfred Olofsson 1885-1992 (maternal grandfather) or Erik Olof Bryntesson 1874-1970 (paternal grandfather), you will find the earlier ones in the tree. You can also find much information from my tree at a relative´s webpage, Jan-Sören Lindh (Thank you very much!) the address is: Stenbanken, search for my grandfathers!

Hi Monica,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Monika,

I notice that you have created a pre-1700 profile Salomon Persson (1689-1783) which has no reliable sources included. The family tree which you link to in the see also section is not considered enough for profiles in this time period. Cheers, Elizabeth

It is a work in progress. Sources will comr
Hi Monika, thanks for getting back to me. It is a requirement of your pre-1700 badge that at least one reliable source is added to a profile at the time of creation. This page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles outlines the expectations for pre-1700 badge holders.

Cheers, Elizabeth :-)

then take it away if it such a hurry
Hi Monika- thank you for being a member of the Jewish Roots Project! I wanted to let you know about some new things we have going on.

- You can see new tabs at the top of our home page, where you can select topics to view or work on. You can also use our new maintenance categories - feel free to add them to your own family, or any other Jewish Roots profile, or work on the maintenance yourself, such as adding new records to profiles with only a couple sources.

-I'm sending an invitation to join GoogleGroups, which we are re-starting this week. We'll probably do most group chat there, but the most important things will be posted on G2G, which you will be notified about if you follow the jewish_roots tag.

-You can also join Wikitree's discord server, where we have a Jewish Roots chat channel.

-If you have ideas or suggestions for the project, feel free to reply here or send me a message.

Thank you! -Elaine, co-leader for Jewish Roots Project

Hello Monika,

Thanks for creating pre-1700 profiles like Henrik Mattsson (1691-1783).

When creating pre-1700 profiles, per our community standards, you need to have a reliable source, which you cite, before creating a new profile. In the case of Henrik, you cited your own tree which is not a source in and of itself. Please return to Henrik and provide at least one reliable source. If you need help finding a source, the Sweden Project would be a good place to start.

Thanks.

-William

Hi Monika

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. Please be sure to read and understand the info on this help page: Pre-1700_Profiles.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask in our G2G forum

Take care and have fun

Hej kul med lite svenskar. Säg till om du har frågor. Jag har pratat med Arkiv Digital och SVAR och det är ok att använda skärmdumpar från deras produkter för att ilustrera källor etc.

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello,

Thank you for signing the Honor code. Collaboration, accurate information and good sources are the basis for a great WikiTree.

Hi Monika,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

I am from Sweden and have been doing some genealogical research in the 90-ties abort my ancesters from north of Sweden. I was married Palmgren, a familyline from Motala, but also some went to USA during 19th century.
Hello & Welcome, to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from."

Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information.

Our Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical journey. Happy researching - Patt
