Michaël was born in 1597 in the village of Koldemo in the parish of Arbrå, as the son of Erik Jonsson, a county sheriff in Helsingland.[1]

June 21, 1635, Michaël married Christina Emporagria. They lived in the vicarage in the parish of Simtuna where Michaël was the rural dean and together they had six children.[2]

In 1644, 1654 and 1660, Michaël took part in the Riksdag.[3]

Michaël died in 1677 and was buried in the church.[1]
