Jöns Eriksson, who often used the family name Dahlberg, was the father of Erik Dalberg, who was the first child in the marriage of Jöns and Dordi Mattsdotter.
Jöns Eriksson Dahlberg was chief accountant for the county of Västerås, which at the time comprised Västmanland, Dalarna and Värmland. He worked directly under the county governor. The family lived at the small manor of Hanevad in Simtuna parish, but spent a lot of time in Stockholm, die to Jöns Eriksson's duties.
Jöns and Dordi had two more children: a daughter, Sara, in 1627 and a son Aron, in 1629.
According to a note by Jöns Eriksson in the family bible, Aron was born at Hanevad.
Jöns Eriksson died unexpectedly later in 1629.
The birth date of Jöns Eriksson Dahlbergh is a rough estimate based on the fact that he had advanced to a post in the county administration with great responsibilities by the time of his son's birth in 1625. We assume that he married the year before the birth of his first child. More precise data will probably not be found.
