Biography
Donna Carol Acierno, age 47, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 12 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Donna was born on September 24, 1960 in West Islip, New York. Donna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Vincent Acierno. Donna is survived by her parents, Leo and Martha Erskine of Rio Rancho, daughter, Danielle Acierno of West Babylon, NY, sister, Maureen Sawtelle of Ft. Riley, KS, one brother, Sgt. Leo Erskine, Jr. of Ft. Riley, KS and grandmother, Mary Acierno of West Babylon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Placement of cremated remains will be in the Rose Garden at Vista Verde Memorial Park. It has been suggested that memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2021 Girard SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
