Biography
Sir Charles Erskine of Cambo, 1st Bt. was the son of Alexander Erskine, Viscount Fentoun and Lady Anne Seton. He married Penelope Barclay, daughter of Arthur Barclay of Colhill, in 1663. He died in February 1677.
He was created 1st Baronet Erskine, of Cambo, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 20 August 1660. He held the office of Lord Lyon King of Arms in 1663.
