Biography

Montagu Erskine is a member of Clan Erskine.

Montagu Erskine (6th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle) was born on 13 April 1865 at Portland Place, Marylebone, London, England. He was the son of William MacNaughton Erskine (5th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle) and his wife Caroline Alice Martha Grimble.

He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, co. Cornwall on 8 December 1913.

He died on 9 February 1957 at age 91.

Marriage

On 16 January 1895 at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England, Montagu Erskine was married to Florence Flower the daughter of Edgar Flower and his wife Isabella Sophia Dennis.

Education & Career

Montagu was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.
