Biography
William Erwin, son of George Erwin and Esther Wright, was born on February 28, 1838 in Millington, York, England.[1][2][3] He was christened the same day.[1]
William immigrated to Canada, where his last name was spelled Irwin. He was a resident of Markham, Ontario when he married Ann Dixon on March 28, 1867 in Markham.[3][4] They had several children. William and Ann moved in 1914.[2]
In late 1924, William was diagnosed with senility.[2] His health was in decline by January 1925 as he was seen by his doctor, Thomas Harvey Robinson, M.D., from January 10th through February 24th.[2] In his last days, he had also developed capillary bronchitis.[2] William died at 86 years of age on February 25, 1925 in the Nashville area at Lot 26, Concession 9 in Vaughan Township.[2][3] He was buried on February 28, 1925 in Nashville Cemetery.[2][3]
