1881 Census  has John Esson (24), Drapers Assistant, Christine Esson (Aunt housekeeper unmarried at 37) and cousin Mary (unmarried dressmaker at 17) and a boarder all living in Bank Street, Old Machar and born in Coldstone, Aberdeen.
