Elspet Esson was born on 19 July 1718 and baptised on 20 July 1718 in Tullynessle & Forbes & Kearn, Aberdeen, Scotland[1]
Marriage
Elspet married James Coutts at the age of 43 years on 27 August 1761 in Newburgh, Fife, Scotland[2]
Research Notes
This is a very confusing profile and I believe two families may be crossed. Firstly there is Elspet Esson born in 1718 in Aberdeen (as above). There is one marriage in the records on Scotlandspeople: the marriage of an Elspeth Eason marrying a James Coutts on 27 August 1761 in Newburgh, Fife.[3] Their children were:
- Robert (23 Sept 1764)
- James (13 Nov 1768)
- Ann (18 Jan 1767)
- Isabel (10 Oct 1762.
Other trees have Elspeth Eason marrying a John Coutts (no record found) but citing the same marriage date - 27 August 1761. Thier children were given as Robert 1742, James 1740 and Margaret 1746. If anyone else would like the task of sorting this, please go ahead.
She passed away in 1790.
