Birth
Samuel Estabrooks was born on 13 Aug 1814 in Danville, Caledonia, Vermont, USA to parents Samuel Estabrooks and Susan Colby.[1]
Marriage and Children
Samuel Estabrooks married Elvira Northrop on 20 Mar 1855 in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont, USA.[2][3] They had a total of six children.[1]
In 1850 Samuel was living in Danville, Caledonia, Vermont, USA with a woman named Mary A Ames. Their relationship is unknown. Living next door was the family of Samuel's brother Warren.
Samuel died of Apoplexy on 11 Apr 1882 while visiting his brother-in-law Henry Northrop in Peacham, Caledonia, Vermont, USA.[11]
The St. Johnsbury Caledonian reported on his death twice. The first time on 14 Apr 1882:
Samuel Estabrooks, who was taken sick while on a visit to Henry Winthrop [sic] of Peacham, a week ago last Sunday, died last Tuesday, aged 68 years.[12]
And again a week later:
A short time since as Samuel Esterbrooks of Danville was on his way and quite near to his brother in-law, Henry Northrop's, he had an apoplectic fit; he was taken to the house, where he had another one from the effects of which he died.[13]
He is buried in the Danville Green Cemetery in Danville, Caledonia, Vermont, USA[14]
