Biography
He married Catherine (Miller) Estes (1800-1876) in 1816 in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
He and Catherine were the parents of:
- Hezekiah Estes (1820-1901),
- Berzilus Estes (1822-1892),
- Joseph Hezekiah Estes (1828-1884),
- Marila (Estes) Iker (1828-1894),
- WIlliam Estes (1830-1898),
- Jefferson Boswell Estes (1834-1903),
- Mary Ann (Estes) Caldwell (1835-1910),
- Christopher C. Estes (1838-1855) and
- Cordelia (Estes) Green (1843-1879)
He also fathered several children with Catherine's sister Sophia Miller (1805-1887) Sophia was a deaf mute, never married but took care of her own business affairs and raised 11 children. Her father, John Miller (1757-1832) deeded land to her to raise her family.

John Green was born 2 Mar 1817. He cannot be the father of Joseph Hezekiah Estes, who was born in 1796.
