Research Notes

  • I think there was only 1 daughter named Ann:

In the attached source, there are 3 wills, one for her grandfather, father and mother. Ann is mentioned as Annie daughter of Christopher in her grandfather's will. In her father's will, she isn't mentioned, only her daughter Ann Brett. Ann must have passed before her parents. In her mother's will, Ann Brett is mentioned again as a grandaughter, and there is another Ann who is a daughter in law, wife of George. So I think there was only 1 Ann

Estey-152 and Estey-147 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these are the same. In the attached source, there are 3 wills, one for her grandfather, father and mother. Ann is mentioned as Annie daughter of Christopher in her grandfather's will. In her father's will, she isn't mentioned, only her daughter Ann Brett. Ann must have passed before her parents.
