John Hartt Estey was born on October 17, 1771, in Sheffield, New Brunswick to parents John Estey, Sr. and wife Mary 'Molly' Hartt daughter of Merby (Hawkes) and Jonathan Hartt. [1]
John Estey Jr. married Deborah (Unknown) between 1800 and 1805.
John Estey, Junior received a Crown Grant of Lot Number Sixty Five in the original grants of land at Kingsclear, in the County of York, Province of New Brunswick. He deeded this two hundred and eighty acres of land to Thomas Pickard on September 4, 1804. The family then moved farther up the Saint John River and took up residence in Carleton County. [1]
He died on August 16, 1837, in Kingsclear, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 65.
