Thomas Etherington was born in Yorkshire, England.
Thomas was born on 19 March 1782 and baptised in Wheldrake, Yorkshire, England, on 31 March. He was the son of George Etherington and Elizabeth Varlo.[1]

On 20 April 1806 Thomas married Mary Mawson in Bubwith, Yorkshire.[2][3] Their children were:

  • George, baptised in Wheldrake in 1807[4]
  • Mary, 1809[5]
  • Hannah, 1812[6]
  • Elizabeth, 1816[7]
  • George, 1820.[8]

Thomas died at the age of 39 in 1821 in York, Yorkshire, and was buried in Wheldrake.[9][10]
