In 1871 Anne Etherington (age 3) lived in St Margaret, York with her father William (40, Engine Driver), mother Caroline (40), and five siblings: William (15, Glass Blower), Mary (14), Calenia (12, Scholar), George (6, Scholar), and Joseph (1).[3]
In 1881 Alice [Annie] Etherington (age 13, Scholar) lived at Red Tower Buildings in St Margaret Walmgate, York with her father William (49, Labourer), mother Caroline (49), and three siblings: George (16, Letter Carrier), Albert (9, Scholar), and Annie [Alice] (7, Scholar).[4]
