Dorothy Joanne Evans was born 11 June 1942 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Shortly after, she was given the nickname Jodie. She was baptized on 20 September 1942 at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Central Park, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Godparents were Dorothy Mileson, Helen Mary Cline, Robert Binley.
Through DNA testing, Jodie discovered that she has an X chromosome from her father, which connects her to the Harman branch of her family.
Subsequent to Jodie's father's death, she found out he had unofficially changed his name to Evans, but he was born with the surname Lang. His Ontario birth record reveals that he was born 1 June 1912, named Robert Bruce Lang.

Catch up on what everyone is up to and say hi. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!
Did a little more research on prefix's. There is no WikiTree policy on using Mr., Mrs. or Miss. If you want to use it feel free to... though you will be very much in the minority.
You will notice another WikiTree member removed the Mrs. designation from Evalina Harman Lang, The prefix area is usually used for Dr., Rev., Captn. etc.. The Mr., Mrs., Miss etc. is assumed and not added. Not a big deal just wanted you to understand.
You are now a confirmed of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering to add your precious family history.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members love to help out fellow genealogists, or go in on the Question of the Week: What challenges have you had finding birth/marriage/death records and what helped you find them? If you need additional help, Contact a Mentor! They're a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
See you in the branches -- Marshall
