GALENA, Kan. Wanda Jean Kitch, age 78, died Monday morning, July 24, 2006, at a hospital in Greenwood, S.C. She had been staying in S.C., for the past three weeks. 1

Wanda was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Wilberton, Okla. Her parents were Frank and Elsie Mae (Reynolds) Evans. 1

She was a homemaker. 1 attended the United Methodist Church, Galena, and was a member of the Red Hatters Club. 1 was married to Darrell Kitch on Dec. 4, 1927 (sic) [1944], in Wellington, Texas. He died March 25, 2002. 1

Surviving is one son, Mike Kitch and companion, Dana McGuire, Bradley, S.C.; one daughter, Vickie Lawson and husband, Brent, Galena; and three grandchildren, Darrel Mo Kitch, Martha Lawson and Hunter Kitch. 1

She was also preceded in death by two brothers. 1

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena. 1

Rev. Marion George Wade will officiate. 1

Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. 1

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Galena. 1
