• Evie was born about 1897. She is the daughter of Walter Evans and Carry Haynes.

Family spoke, read and wrote English, Corbett and Rosella attended school. Lissie, Troy, and Mae worked as farm laborers on the home farm. ^[4]
• 1940 U.S. Census: Mae Bartlett, age 44, lived in Militia District 486 Sixth, Henry County, Georgia, with husband, Raymond, age 52. They rented their home for $4 per month. Mae had completed 6th grade; Raymond had completed 8th grade. Both born in Georgia. In 1935 they lived in a rural area of Henry County, Georgia.
