Anne was born in 1860 at Hamilton, Tasmania. She was the second child of David Evans & Louisa Lynch. (1)
Anne was baptised at Mowbray, Tasmania on the 27th August, 1860. (2)
Anne married James Lane on the 8th April, 1880, at Ouse, Tasmania. James, now 36yo, had just lost his previous wife the year before and still had a family of children to look after. They were married in the church of St John the Baptist, Kenmere (near Ouse). Witnesses were Thomas Lane, Letitia Lane and David Evans. (3)
In trying to keep the family name alive, and after losing 4 of his children already, James and Anne produced another 7 children:
After the hardships of having 7 children as well as raising another 3 children from a previous marriage, Anne passed away, aged only 50yo. She died at her late residence, 'Forest Green' at Lane's Tier, Tasmania. (4)
She was buried in her own plot at Ouse St John the Baptist Church on the 11th January, 1910. Her husband, James, was buried 5 years previously, in the tomb of his first wife, Christina.
