Born in Ohio. Married at age of 18. Nine children (five survived her). Member of Free Methodist Church. She selected the text for her funeral:
"For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now we know in part, but then we shall know even as also we are known."
Buried next to her husband Henry at Glenlock Cemetery (aka Glenloch Cemetery, aka Pleasantview Cemetery), a few miles west of Garnett, Kansas.
