When Deforest William Evans was born on 16 March 1890, in Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana, United States, his father, Horace Martin Evans, was 29 and his mother, Anna Maud Skinner, was 24.
He married Grace Richmond Glover on 9 December 1914, in Hamilton, Tennessee, United States.[4]
Saturday, November 21, 1914: The wedding of Miss Grace Glover and Mr. DeForest Evans will be celebrated Dec. 9 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Glover on Fort Wood. Dr. Loaring Clark of St. Paul’s will officiate in the presence of relatives and close friends of the bridal couple.[5]
DeForest William Evans died at his home, 609 W. Sunset Rd., Lookout Mountain, Wednesday night of a heart attack. He was active in the lumber business here until his retirement 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Glover Evans, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Forshee of Jackson, Miss., and five grandchildren.
