David was born in Llanvaes, Brecknockshire about 1803. His father is unknown, but in 1851 he was living with his mother, Sarah, who was by this time married to WIlliam Goulstone.
There is a David Evans baptised 5 Jan 1803 in Llanafan Fawr, Brecknockshire, Wales. No parents' names given.[1]
