Not to be confused with Lieutenant E.R.G.R. "Teddy" Evans, Scott's second-in-command on the Terra Nova expedition.

Edgar Evans joined this expedition, and also went to Victoria Land (near the Ross Ice Shelf) in 1903. Upon their return to England, Evans married Lois Beynon (possibly his cousin?) in 1904.

Edgar's marriage to Lois Beynon was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1904 in the Gower district.[4]
