Sidney Arthur Thomas Evans was born 31st August, 1895, at Lewisham, London, England, the son of Edward Benjamin Evans and Agnes Harriet Neal. His birth was registered that year in the Lewisham district during the December quarter. ^[1]

Emigration to Australia.

Marriage. On 19th June, 1917, in Queensland, he married Violet May Low. ^[2]

Military Service, 1940-1945 In 1940, Sidney joined the Royal Australian Air Force. He was discharged August, 1945. ^[3]
