There is no place in England called Sealescomb. Closest is Sedlescombe, Sussex.

Closest match in the Sussex registers is:

"England, Sussex, Parish Registers, 1538-1910", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2Q3-R96B : 7 December 2017), William Evans, 1783.

Evens-269 and Evans-4386 appear to represent the same person because: It seems from most evidence that the LNAB is actually EVANS. Both profiles show a marriage to Rhoda Loring. The 1850 census shows a Rhoda Evans of the right age in Mass. suggesting that William had passed away before the census. Unfortunately no trace of the putative daughter can be found making final confirmation impossible. Neither is there a death for Rhoda or William extant.
