"Cuthbert Combs, Sr. (John, Joseph), born bef 1750, Prince William or Stafford Co, VA; died 25 Jun 1815, Clark Co, KY; married bef 1770, probably in Stafford Co, VA, Sarah "Sally" EVANS, b 12 Jul 1752, probably Virginia; died 20 Jul 1816, Clark Co, KY.
His marriage to an EVANS is documented by the Edna F. Hightower Collection. Her given name is documented by his 1814 Clark Co, KY will. Their marriage year is based on their eldest three children having been born by 1772. Their marriage location is based on residence at time of marriage."
