Biography

Jacob Embree Evans was born on September 5,1875 in Toledo, Ozark Co., Missouri.[1] He was the son of Robert Evans and Nancy Buttram. In 1880, at age 3, he was in his parent's home in Marion Twp., Ozark Co., Missouri, along with 6 of his siblings.[2]
Jake married Martha "Mattie" Johnson September 6, 1897, in Bates, Missouri. [3] Children.

  4. Arlie Jacob Evans (1913-2004)

They made their home in Marion Twp, Ozark, Missouri in 1900, where by this time their Daughter Della J-2 had been born.[4] By 1910 Geroge -9, and Ethel-2 had been born, and were in the home along with Della.[5]
He was a farmer by trade. In 1918 he regestered for the draft for WWI, giving his name as Jacob Embree, Evans of Toledo, Ozark, Missouri, and his birth as September 5, 1875. His wife Matt was listed as his nearest Relative.[6]
in 1930 they were in Toledo on their farm, with only Arlie-17, Martha-16, in the home.[7]
His wife Martha passed away on June 21, 1937, in Ozark, Co., Missouri, at the age of 61. They had been married 40 years.
After Martha's death he married 'Mrs. Della M (Mallone) McDaniel. She had 3 children from her prievious marriage, Nathan, Marie, and Mazine.[8]
He died on August 28, 1963, at the age of 88 in Missouri,[9] and was buried in the Thornfield Cemetery, in Thornfield, ozark Co., Missouri.[1]
