On your John Baker profile, (Baker-13042), he has (2) sons named Samuel. I believe the Samuel Baker, (Baker-13064) in that profile is an error.

Sent you a couple of messages regarding getting added onto to the Trysted List for Melvin Clark McKinley. Thanks.

Hello cousin,

We are 8th cousins twice removed through Rene LeBlanc, but more importantly you and my dad trace your maternal lines back to the same person. One of the mothers of Acadie Francoise Corbineau. My dad has only done the 23andMe test and his maternal haplogroup shows as H1a. I see you've done the FTDNA tests. Find any others that match this Acadian mother? And what is that Mitosearch?

The Acadians Project is being profiled on a Wikitree Video. They are interested in a brief ‘person in the street’ description of the project and what’s new.

Check out the draft using the link below… Are your interests included?

Hi Eric

Our Acadians project will be profiled June 17 on the WikiTree blog. It will have a table of Acadian First Families including highlights from their profiles. Please check out your family lines here to see if any fixes are needed. Best wishes Annette

Hi Eric,

Welcome to WikiTree! I noticed that you uploaded a Gedcom with a few duplicates along my paternal line. I'm merging those that I can and have requested merges for the ones I don't have permission to complete.

Since those are Acadian profiles, you may be interested in the Acadians Project:

Just checking in to see how things are going :)

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find existing profiles to link into so it's important to do a thorough search before adding someone!

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have questions I can help with?

Since 2012 a lot of time has been put into discovering my roots. While quite frustrating, it has also been very rewarding! I know that somewhere, someone has what I need to knock down the walls. With all of the inaccurate information out there, I've likely become a victim of it as well so if something doesn't seem right, please send a message. Building one's own tree is a collaborative effort in itself let alone a world tree. If you need more information, I'm happy to help.
