Sylvester was born in Devon England. “Silvester” and Susan “Nuberry” Eveleth arrived in Boston in 1642.

The family appears in parish records of Exeter St. Thomas until 1633 and then disappear from sight until they resurface in Boston, Massachusetts when Susan Eveleth, wife of baker Silvester Eveleth, was admitted to the First Church on the 19th day of the first month of 1643. It is not known whether the start of the English Civil War in 1642 influenced the Eveleth family’s migration to New England or whether political, religious and/or economic views brought them to their decision to leave Exeter.
He married first to Susan Nubery while living in Exeter, Devonshire, England. She is the mother of his five children. Margaret and Mary were born in England and came to America with their parents.
Second, he married [Unknown] possibly Parkman on 6 Sep 1689 in Gloucester,,Essex,MA.
Third he married Pilgrim Eddy. She was born in Watertown on August 25, 1634. She married first to William Baker in Boston on April 22, 1656, and had one child. She married second, Isaac Stedman by January 11, 1677, She married third our Sylvester Eveleth after February 5, 1682. 
Sylvester died at age 84, on January 4th, 1689, in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts, USA. He was buried in Gloucester,Essex,MA.
The Eveleth family has been well researched and published by Jonathan B. Butcher in 1980-1981 in the New England Historical Genealogical Register, 134:299-309 and continued in 135:23-35 , 98-108.
