Biography

Isaac Evelith* Eveleth was the son of Sylvester Eveleth and Susan Nubery. He was born in Dorchester, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, New England,

He married Abigail Coit, the 13th of November, in 1677, in Gloucester, Essex, Essex Co, Massachusetts. They had 5 children: Susanna, Mary, Jobe, Hannah and Isaac Jr. .[1] all born in Gloucester.

Isaac died on the 2nd of November, 1685. Afterwhich, Abigail married Isaac's brother-in-law.

From History of the town of Leeds, ... Lieut. Thomas Millet, as he was called, married Mary Evelith on May 21, 1655, Governor Endicott officiating-. This was about the time his father moved to Gloucester. Their wedded life was passed in that town, lasting thirty-two years, the wife dying in June, 1687, leaving no children.

The next year, on 2nd of December, 1688 in Gloucester, Essex, Mass, he married Abigail (Coit) Evelith, widow of his wife's brother, Isaac (Evelith), and daughter of John Gait. She was his junior by twenty-six years." [2]

Evelyth-1 and Eveleth-61 appear to represent the same person because: Hi Jim. OK, I've proposed the merge, as you suggested. But I can't make the merge, as I'm not on Eveleth-61's trusted list. So would you please (1) complete the merge and (2) put me on the trusted list? Thanks. Marc
