Nan Musselman Everhart was born on 9 Aug 1915 in Frederick, MD, daughter of David Groff Everhart (1890–1944) and Eva Savilla Bixler (1891–1940).

Nan Musselman Everhart Kershaw served in the WAV from 1942-1949, served overseas and held the rank of 1st Lieutenant. She held a law degree and practiced law in the Army.

From 1960 to 1972 she was the admissions director for Miami-Dade Jr. College in Miami, FL.

After her death in 1994, she was buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. Nan was mentioned on a memorial in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia with a death date of 10 Jul 1994.[1]
