Biography

b. 11 Oct 1771, on the old homestead in Manchester, Maryland

m. Elizabeth Weaver Phillip who lived on an adjoining plantation. She was blind for the last 15 years of he life.

Did not learn a trade, but remained on the plantation with his father, which he inherited. During his lifetime there were many improvements in farming, and he remained active in that pursuit until he was 81 years of age. In March 1852 he moved to the town of Manchester, Maryland.

Although he never held a political office, he was a firm Jeffersonian Democrat. A strict member of the Reformed Church. "He was well respected by all with whom he came into contact in the business relationships of life."

A copy of which was obtained by Linda Ford and forwarded in an e-mail, 12 Nov 2016. [This appears to be a false lead found in search of Peter Everett, born c.1797, in the USA, of German ancestry.]
