Biography

Sarah, daughter of John and Silence (Staples) Everson, was born at Kingston, MA on December 17, 1727. She married first John Tinkham, son of John and Ann (Gray) Tinkham, on February 2, 1747/48. He drowned at Kingston on September 15, 1748 at the age of 26 years, 9 months, 29 days. He is buried there at Old Burying Ground. Apparently there were no children born to John and Sarah.

She married second Charles Cooke, on of Robert and Abigail (Harlow) Cooke, on October 5, 1749. Sarah and Charles resided in Kingston where they had nine children: Hannah, Asenath, John, Zadock, Hannah, Zenas, Francis, Anne, and Sarah.

The last record of Sarah was on April 23, 1762 when she and husband Charles acknowledged a deed. The last record of Charles was March 29, 1768 when he acknowledged a deed with his sister Sarah and her husband.

Her original DOD was 23 Aug 1762, but was changed to avoid software errors with Wikitree.
