Harry (Henry) Burton Ezard, son of Mary (Burton) and George Ezard, was born in 1875 in Vaughan Township, Ontario, Canada.[1][2][3][4]
As of the 1881 and 1891 Censuses, Harry was living in Toronto Gore Township with his parents and siblings: Mark, Maggie, and John.[5][6] His father was a farmer and his family was Presbyterian.[5][6] As of the 1901 Census, Harry was still living in Toronto Gore Township with his parents and brother, John.[2]
As of the 1911 Census, Harry was living at Lot 15, Concession 11 in Toronto Gore Township.[3] His sister, Margaret, was the head of the house and noted as a farmer.[3] Margaret's husband, William Clark, did not have an occupation at that time and Harry was noted as a labourer.[3] Also living in the house were William's mother, Rachael Clark, and Margaret and William Clark's children: Gladys, Howard, and Annie.[3]
He was 38 and a farmer when he married Clara Jane Lindsey, daughter of Sarah (Davison) and Wesley Lindsey, in Brampton on December 16, 1914.[1][4][7] Both were Methodists at that time.[4] Harry was a resident of Toronto Gore Township and Clara was a resident of Albion Township.[4]
As of the 1921 Census, Harry was a farmer and living in Toronto Gore Township with his wife, Clara, father, George, and children: Viola and George.[8] Their son, Gordon J. Ezard, died in infancy in 1927.[1]
Harry died in 1967 and was buried with his son, Gordon, in Nashville Cemetery in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.[1]

Some records show his name as Henry (or Henery) Burton Ezard.[4][6] Other records show his name as Harry Burton Ezard.[1][5]
According to the 1881 and 1891 Censuses of Canada, Harry's father, George Burton, was born in England and his mother, Mary Burton, was of Scottish descent but born in Ontario, Canada.[5][6] According to the 1901 Census, George was born on June 15, 1840 and Mary was born on September 2, 1843.[2]
